However, knowing what I now know, I will share a fix for the tree so that all previous commands can be searched as you implied and the correct one (automatically) selected. ![]() So, therefore I needed and used the tree as you called it to recall the last command. You have to input the command in Terminal and recalling it from previous CLI inputs is handy for me. Here is the command I need to recall from a previous keyed entry: sudo kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext And of course, I'm a simple user who knows nothing about Terminal. They didn't discuss the issue with default settings in zsh. ![]() All I was trying to use was the tree to recall that particular command, which apparently due to a known bug in OWC's app SoftRAID requires a kext reset when starting up OS X (Big Sur). Seriously, you're obviously knowledgable about the use of zsh and mkdir.
